Prices in USD, tax included where it applies. Payments are handled by Polar, who are the merchant of record. They take the card details and remit the sales tax, and we never see your card.
Before you pay
Run your text through for free first. If it comes back with nothing hidden in it, there is nothing here for you to buy, and we would much rather you found that out before paying than after.
A pass is worth it when you have found something and want it gone, or when you are checking a lot of files, or one very long one: a dissertation, a batch of generated images, a semester of assignments.
- What do I get for free?
- The whole report. Every hidden character we find, what it is called, how many there are, where it sits in your text. Five texts and two images a day, no account. What free does not include is the clean copy itself.
- So what am I paying for?
- The clean copy. A pass also lifts the daily limit, raises the length cap from 2,000 to 200,000 characters, and takes the upload limit to 50 MB.
- Why not charge for the checking instead?
- Because you would have to trust a number you cannot verify. Showing the whole report for free means you can see exactly what we found before you decide it is worth fixing. It also means people whose text is clean pay nothing, which is how it should be.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. Both passes are one payment. The day pass lasts 24 hours, the semester pass six months, and neither renews. There is nothing to cancel.
- Do I need to make an account?
- No. You pay, and the tool is unlocked in that browser straight away. There is no password and no key to type in.
- How do I use my pass on another device?
- Open the restore page on that device and type the address you paid with. We email a link that unlocks the browser you open it in, and it works for fifteen minutes. There is nothing to save and nothing to copy — we deliberately do not hand out a link that unlocks the pass forever, because that is a key you would then have to keep safe.
- What if I cleared my cookies?
- Same answer: restore it with the address you paid with. If that address no longer reaches you, email us from any address with your Polar receipt and we will sort it out by hand.
- Do I get a better check if I pay?
- No, and that is deliberate. The detection is identical on every tier. We are not going to hide findings behind a paywall. You would have no way to know whether we were making them up.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, within 14 days, no argument. Email us. Checking is free precisely so you can confirm the tool finds something before you pay to remove it.
- Is there a student price?
- The semester pass is already about three dollars a month. If that is genuinely out of reach, just say so by email. We would rather you used it.
