AI Watermark Remove

Terms

Last updated 16 August 2026

By using AI Watermark Remove you agree to what follows. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

What the service does

AI Watermark Remove inspects text and image files for invisible Unicode characters and embedded provenance metadata, reports what it finds, then optionally removes it. It is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability.

What we do not claim

This matters more than the rest of this document, so it is near the top.

  • We do not claim to remove statistical watermarks such as Google SynthID from text. Those are embedded in word choice rather than in characters, so character cleaning cannot remove them.
  • We do not claim to remove pixel-domain image watermarks. Metadata removal does not affect them.
  • We do not claim that using this tool will change the verdict of any AI detector, plagiarism checker or academic-integrity system. Those systems mostly analyse writing style, which we do not alter.
  • We do not claim detection is exhaustive. New carrier techniques appear, and a clean result means "none of the known carriers were found", not "definitely unmarked".

Acceptable use

You may use this service to:

  • Inspect and clean your own documents and files.
  • Check content you have been sent before processing it, including as a security control.
  • Remove metadata from your own images for privacy reasons.
  • Understand what is in a file you are about to publish or submit.

You may not use it to:

  • Misrepresent authorship where you are under a binding obligation to disclose it. Whether that applies to you is your responsibility, and academic and professional integrity rules vary. If your institution requires you to declare AI assistance, removing characters from a file does not remove that obligation.
  • Strip provenance from content in order to pass it off as someone else's work.
  • Remove metadata from images you do not have the rights to.
  • Circumvent the free-tier limits through automation, or resell access.
  • Attack, overload or probe the service.

We may block access that appears abusive. We do not monitor content and cannot, since we do not store it, so enforcement is based on traffic patterns.

What free includes, and what a pass includes

Checking is free: the full report on what is hidden in your file. The daily and length limits are shown on the pricing page. A pass is what provides the cleaned output, along with higher limits. Detection is identical on both. Paying does not buy a different or better check.

Access, not accounts

There are no accounts and no passwords. After payment your browser holds a cookie that grants your pass, and the confirmation page gives you a link that grants it to another browser. Treat that link like a password: anyone holding it has your pass. Passes are for one person and we may revoke one that is being shared widely.

Payment and refunds

Passes are one-off payments, not subscriptions. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Payments are handled by Polar as merchant of record; your contract of sale for the payment itself is with them.

Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, no justification needed. Emailsupport@aiwatermarkremove.com from the address you paid with. A refunded pass stops working immediately. Free checking exists so you can confirm the tool finds something before paying to remove it.

Liability

The service is provided without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any consequence of using it, including academic, professional, legal or financial outcomes. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.

Specifically: we are not responsible for decisions made by third parties about your work, and a clean result from this tool is not a defence, a certification, or evidence of anything beyond what it literally reports.

Changes

These terms may change. Continued use after a change means acceptance. Material changes will be dated here.
